Gradient replaces Legge with McAleer for rest of 2024 season


The group revealed the motive force change on social media, with McAleer stepping as much as full-time GTD working alongside co-driver Sheena Monk within the Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 starting on the upcoming Streets of Lengthy Seaside April 19-20.

McAleer was a part of the Gradient’s effort as an endurance co-driver for the Daytona 24 Hours in January. In 2022, McAleer’s solely earlier full-time marketing campaign in GTD, he completed third within the championship whereas driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3 for Group Korthoff Motorsports.

 

The swap comes after Gradient suffered finishes of nineteenth and seventeenth – struggling incidents in each – and at the moment standing twenty third within the standings.

Though a cause for changing Legge was not offered by Gradient, the choice for the change comes 24 hours after she was confirmed for an Indianapolis 500 effort by Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Ware Racing.
