Le Mans gets new MotoGP deal to host French GP



Le Mans is about to host MotoGP’s French Grand Prix till 2031 on the earliest, after a multi-year extension was signed with Dorna Sports activities.

The French GP has taken place at Le Mans Circuit Bugatti on 11 events from 1969 to 1995, then each season since 2000.

“Our contract as promoter ends in 2026 […] however I’m extraordinarily happy, honored and proud to announce that it has been prolonged till 2031,” stated promoter Claude Michy on Wednesday at an occasion previewing the 2025 race.

Pierre Fillon, president of Vehicle Membership de l’Ouest – which oversees all competitions on the Le Mans circuit – added: “I’m delighted to announce we re-signed till 2031.”

Michy additionally paid tribute to Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta, “an excellent gentleman who made MotoGP what it’s immediately – an distinctive present”.
